"Into the wild" é o nome da obra de Jon Krakauer, 1996, que conta a história verídica de Christopher McCandless. Em 2007 foi adaptado para o cinema pela mão de Sean Penn, com a interpretação de Emile Hirsch, Marcia Gay Harden, William Hurt, Jena Malone... A banda sonora é da autoria de Eddie Vedder.
